150 g flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
250 g sugar
4 eggs, separated

1 orange juice
25 ml Marsala wine or sherry
50 g brown sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Line the cake tin (23×12 cm).

2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

3. Beat the egg yolks and sugar into cream, gradually mix in the flour mix.

4. Beat the egg whites into firm foam and then mix it into the dough. Spoon into the tin.

5. Bake 30-40 min until the top is firm and it is not sticking to the pick.

6. Make the orange sugar. Mix the sugar with the orange juice and the sherry. The mix should be like wet sugar, not runny.

6. Let it rest for 10 min, then cool on the wire rack. While still warm put on the top the orange sugar. When cold, remove the paper and let it rest for another hour.

P.S. The second treat at the last Cake Party.. Must admit, this was not one of my favourites.. I guess, just not sweet enough for my taste buds.. but try.. maybe you will lke it!

Enjoy, K.
